The ECIA PACE Training Program is a series of courses designed to educate you on the fundamentals and intricacies of the electronic components industry. For access to the courses, the quiz and the feedback survey, you must be logged into your ECIA account with your email and password. If you have not yet created a profile, do that now!

In this lesson, we will take a glimpse behind the scenes to try to understand the rationale of sales departments. In a general sense, we’ll try to undercover the central mysteries:

  1. How do salespeople determine price in a deal?
  2. What is a margin, and why does it fluctuate from deal to deal?
  3. Why do salespersons so often travel and meet customers in person?
  4. How do salespersons use conversation as a tool, and why?

Your knowledge will be then be tested in a quiz of the material presented.  After completion, please provide feedback on your experience and the course material.
